WIN a limited edition "fish & chips" print by Mengsel

Hey y'all. Yes, you've guessed it: one of my favourite things - GIVEAWAY TIME!!! Yay!

My precious London town had a rough week, with all the riots going on. So I decided that it would only be appropriate to give away one of my limited edition "fish & chips" hand pulled silkscreen prints. As you all know, fish and chips is a rather English delicacy and enjoyed best in a cosy London pub with an ice cold pint of beer.

To win one of these colourful prints, you need to leave a comment below, describing your favourite spot in London or what you love about London. If you've never been, you can tell me why you would love to visit and what you would do.

Looking forward to all your comments! Entries will close on Wednesday 17 August at 12pm GMT. I will pick my favourite comment and send a lovely silkscreen print your way.

Good luck!

P.S. The "fish & chips" silkscreen print is available to purchase HERE in the Mengsel Shop and retails for £40.00. The print's size is A3 {42cm x 29.5cm} and will be sent unframed.

  2. Love all your prints, but this one is my most favourite and best.

What I miss most about London is the parks and gardens. Great places to mooch and ponder. Holland Park is my favourite.

  3. I think the main reason I love London is that it's never boring, and its eclectic enough that even the most discriminating traveller will find something to do and enjoy. Where else can one start the day at National Gallery among some of the best art in the world (my fave spot, by the way), have a Thai lunch in Soho, explore the sights and smells of Chinatown, have an Irish brew in a pub, catch a show at the theatre or enjoy a free show in Trafalgar Square, have a West Indian dinner, and a nightcap in a bar along the Thames. Where else? lol. It's great.

  4. This is so exciting. I am totally smitten with this piece! I adore London and I have such an emotional attachment to it as my mom is British. Each time Balazs and I visit we simply can't get enough of the vibe, people and the incredible High Park. Have a safe night:) xo

  6. My favourite place in London is the canal towpath between Dalston and Islington. I walk along it every day on my way to work and I love the tranquility I get before entering the chaos of the city. It always makes me smile.
Gorgeous prints btw, I have been coveting the coffee one for sometime, I didn't realise you were based in London :)

  7. I love this print and I love London... all of it! My favourite place would have to be the Tate Modern.

  8. So many choices! So here's two 'ideal day's covering so many of the places I miss...

Either climbing Primrose Hill to look at the cityscape below, followed by a brunch at Kalendar on Swain's Lane and a trip around Highgate Cemetery.

Or a wander around the BM followed by browsing in Heals, actually shopping in Seven Dials and finishing with a beer on the South Bank.

  10. ONE of my favourite things about London is St Pancras Intl, at last a truly stylish way to welcome visitors to our great city, so pleased to see Kings Cross having so much attention lavished upon it too.

  11. I love this print! I haven't been to London since I was a teenager and back then my favourite thing was all the great shops! Now I think I would have a greater appreciation for the wonderful history of your city.

Having riots in your city is a shocking thing. We recently had one here in Vancouver. It was terribly sad and tragic but, like in London, uplifting to see how many people came out afterwards to help with clean up. I am so sorry that you have had to go though this.

  13. Ooooh what a great giveaway, the problem is it has taken me forever to decide which part of London I love best! I can't decide between the very public Tate Modern which I visit regularly with my daughters, or the hidden parts of the stores at the V&A where I used to work, I love them both :)

  14. Although it's a slightly obvious one, I used to love visiting Borough market with my mom when I lived in London. We would go round sampling all the cheese, fresh bread, olives and charcuterie; stop in at Monmouth Roastery for a coffee; spend a good half hour in Neal's Yard Dairy (leaving with more paper-wrapped cheese than we could ever eat!); then have a little picnic in the garden at Southwark Cathedral. Good memories!
