new stockist in barcelona

Barcelona is one of my favourite cities for sure. Tapas, siestas, beautiful architecture and the beach... what's not to like?

Mengsel is now stocked at The Old Kitchen, based in Mercantic, in Sant Cugat del  Valles just outside Barcelona.

SO excited about this. I've started the collection with Bigger Boat bodysuits. Made from screen printed 100% certified organic cotton and available in 3 colour options: turquoise, rose blush and chartreuse and 2 size options: 3-6 months and 6-12 months. 

A super sweet Autumn/Winter baby range in the works and can't wait to share it with you. In my circle of friends, everybody is having babies (that happens when you're 32!) and it almost feels like I'm buying baby gifts in bulk now. I really wanted to create a baby range that was affordable as gifts for friends (or for your own beautiful little bambino).

Over here at Mengsel, we LOVE a good Fish & Chips. I was in Venice, Italy last week and visited the famous fish markets next to the Rialto Bridge. A seafood lover's paradise. A few of my snaps...

love my new blue bicycle

A couple of weeks ago, I got a beautiful new bicycle from Bobbin. I can't tell you how much I love cruising around on this little beauty. I also got the white rectangular basket to cart around all my Mengsel orders to the post office. 

I picked the Brownie model in navy blue and I'm calling her Bebe (short for Bobbin Brownie). All of a sudden it is so quick to get to places where I usually would have to take a bus or train. I live SO close to Wimbledon Village, but the public transport to get there is awful. With Bebe, I can be in Wimbledon Common quick quick.

Now I just need one of these stylish retro helmets. I'm still using @endurancehero's old helmet from 1992.

And I'm back! I recently visited South Africa with my husband, who was competing in Ironman South Africa in Port Elizabeth. Had a wonderful time catching up with family and friends in Cape Town too.

Introducing new print "Vintage Coffee"

A brand new giclee print in the Mengsel Shop this Easter weekend called "Vintage Coffee" 

I've always loved spending time in the Victoria & Albert Museum drawing in my sketchbook, marvelling at al the beautiful objects from around the world. "Vintage Coffee" is an illustrated print based on my sketchbook drawings of coffee pots from all the different styles in the silver rooms, including Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Bauhaus.
